GOOD NEWS, DEAL DONE: Arkansas Razorbacks two top rated profile transfer class appointed another huge deal done
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas Razorbacks’ transfer class, consisting of Kailey Wyckoff and Karlie Davison, has been ranked No. 9 nationally in the Softball America Transfer Class Rankings, as announced on Wednesday.
Wyckoff is ranked No. 8 among individual transfers. The junior catcher, who joins the Razorbacks from Texas Tech, had a standout 2024 season, earning First-Team All-Big 12 honors. She played 50 games, starting 49 of them, and excelled in multiple positions including catcher, first base, and both outfield spots. Wyckoff boasted a .407 batting average, 12 doubles, seven home runs, and a career-high 35 RBI. She also had a career-best 24-game streak of reaching base and led the Red Raiders with 15 multi-hit games. Her freshman year saw her named Big 12 Freshman of the Year with a .393 average, nine home runs, and 39 RBI.
Davison is ranked No. 42. She spent her first two years at Utah, playing 96 games with 87 starts, mostly at shortstop. Last season, Davison hit .294 with five doubles, three home runs, 12 RBI, and added 15 runs scored and five stolen bases in 40 games. She made a strong start to her sophomore year, hitting .500 in the first 12 games and .421 for February. As a freshman, she led Utah with 11 home runs and 32 RBI, helping the Utes advance to the Women’s College World Series.
The Razorbacks finished the 2024 season with a 37-18 record, marking their seventh consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance and their fifth national seed under head coach Courtney Deifel.
