Tennessee’s white hot streak on the recruiting trail resumed Thursday afternoon. The Volunteers added another cornerback to their class with the commitment of four-star CB Onis Konanbanny.

South Carolina native Konanbanny, a member of the 2025 recruiting class, is currently ranked as the 302nd player overall according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s the fourth-ranked player in his state and the 28th-ranked cornerback in the class.

Standing at 6-foot-1 and weighing 180 pounds, Konanbanny fits the mold Tennessee seeks in a cornerback. His background is unique—he only began playing football after moving to the U.S. from England in 2022, having spent much of his life playing soccer.

Konanbanny chose Tennessee over offers from powerhouse programs like Florida State, LSU, Alabama, Michigan, Ohio State, and others. While he may still be developing as a prospect, his athletic potential is clear given the caliber of schools that pursued him.

With Konanbanny’s commitment, Tennessee now has 24 players in their 2025 class. He joins a strong group of recent commits, including five-star tackle David Sanders, four-star safety Logonza Hayward, four-star tight end Da’Saahn Brame, and four-star linebacker Jaedon Harmon. Additionally, Tennessee secured the No. 1 overall player in the 2026 class, Faizon Brandon.

The Volunteers now have four cornerbacks committed in the 2025 class: Konanbanny, Tre Poteat, Tyler Redmond, and Dylan Lewis.
