SHOCKING: Florida highly rated profile accused of secretly recording young girls at Walmart with hidden GoPro
In Ocala, Florida, a man was arrested at a Walmart a year after being banned for secretly recording young girls, according to the Ocala Police Department.
Joshua Gaines, 32, faces 10 counts of digital voyeurism and 403 counts of child pornography possession following an incident on August 9 at the Walmart on 2600 SW 19th Ave. Road.
Around 7:45 p.m., police responded to reports of Gaines allegedly filming young female shoppers. A store asset protection investigator recognized Gaines from a previous incident in August of the previous year, when he was banned for similar suspicious behavior, authorities said.
“He was aware that he was prohibited from returning to the store,” police added.
Security footage reportedly captured Gaines pretending to shop while using a hidden camera inside a small black bag to film the private areas of young girls, particularly in the back-to-school section.
Gaines was taken into custody while trespassing in the store with a cart full of items, where police found a GoPro camera and two cellphones.
Search warrants for the devices revealed “multiple media files” consistent with digital voyeurism and “hundreds of images of child pornography involving children as young as six,” police reported.
Gaines is being held at the Marion County Jail without bond.
The Ocala Police Department praised their officers for their diligence in the investigation and Walmart’s Asset Protection Investigator for their vigilance, which was crucial in apprehending the suspect.
