The Oregon Ducks missed out on securing a two-sport standout for their 2025 football recruiting class, as five-star athlete announced his commitment to the Texas Longhorns on Saturday. Williams, who selected Texas over Oregon, USC, LSU, and Texas A&M, is also a top baseball talent in Texas, excelling as both an outfielder and left-handed pitcher.

Hailing from Ball High School in Galveston, Texas, Williams is ranked as the No. 7 overall football player in the 2025 class by 247Sports’ composite rankings. Standing at 6-foot-3 and 203 pounds, he is projected to play safety at the next level, though he could also transition to linebacker.

On the baseball field, Williams had an impressive sophomore season, batting .474 with 10 doubles and five triples for Ball High.
