DEAL DONE: Ohio State 5-Star WR Signs Deal With Washington Commanders
The NFL has been in a whirlwind this week. Tuesday’s 4 PM deadline required teams to trim their rosters down to 53 players, which they did, but it also triggered a series of events in the days that followed. Teams had to waive, release, or place players on an alternative list (typically for injured players) to meet the 53-man roster requirement. As a result, some productive players ended up on waivers or in free agency after being cut. This creates opportunities for teams to add last-minute talent to address any remaining needs before the season starts, which is exactly what the Washington Commanders did on Wednesday. They agreed to a deal with wide receiver Noah Brown, a former Ohio State standout, who had been released by the Houston Texans on Tuesday.

Over the past two seasons, Brown has accumulated more than 500 receiving yards and will provide a valuable target for rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels. During his sophomore year at Ohio State, Brown caught seven touchdowns before declaring for the NFL Draft. With his broad frame and exceptional catch radius, he is poised to make an immediate impact as a wide receiver for Washington.
