JUST IN, DONE DEAL: Sixers sign key superstar to 10 contract agreement deal done just now
Judah Mintz has secured more than just a summer spot with the Sixers. On Sunday, the team announced they’ve signed the rookie guard from Syracuse to an Exhibit 10 contract.
During his sophomore season, Mintz averaged 18.8 points, 4.4 assists, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.1 steals. Though he went undrafted, he impressed the Sixers during the summer league with his smooth mid-range shooting, knack for drawing fouls, and strong defensive presence. In his eight summer league games, Mintz averaged 9.5 points, 1.5 assists, and 1.3 steals while playing 19.2 minutes per game.

Mintz, who stands 6-foot-3 and weighs 176 pounds, was measured at the NBA draft combine. His three-point shooting isn’t his strongest suit, as he made just 28.2% of his attempts last season, and he went 1-for-6 from beyond the arc during the summer league.
An Exhibit 10 contract allows teams to offer incentives for a player to join their G League affiliate, in this case, the Delaware Blue Coats. These contracts can be converted to two-way deals before the NBA regular season starts.
In addition to Mintz, the Sixers have signed Max Fiedler to an Exhibit 10 contract, as reported by Jon Chepkevich of DraftExpress in late June. The 6-foot-11 Fiedler, a skilled big man facilitator, played 148 college games at Rice, averaging 9.3 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game as a fifth-year senior.
With training camp about a month away, the Sixers currently have three players on two-way contracts: Justin Edwards, David Jones, and Jeff Dowtin Jr., and 14 players on standard NBA contracts.
