The Eagles made adjustments to their practice squad on Wednesday, signing safety  and releasing tight end Jack Stoll. Following these moves, one spot remains open on the Eagles’ practice squad.

Sterns initially joined the Eagles on August 11 but was sidelined during Training Camp due to a knee injury. After being waived during the roster cutdown, he briefly returned to the practice squad before being released again on September 3.

A fifth-round pick by the Broncos in 2021, Sterns played under Eagles Defensive Coordinator Vic Fangio, who was the Broncos’ head coach at the time. He suffered a torn patellar tendon in Week 1 of last season and was activated off the Physically Unable to Perform list on July 27.

“He was a good player. Moved well. Had good instincts and ball skills. We just need to see where he is physically,” Fangio said when Sterns initially signed during Training Camp.

Sterns appeared in 20 games for the Broncos, recording 49 tackles and four interceptions.

As for Stoll, he rejoined the Eagles after being waived by the New York Giants during final roster cuts. The only undrafted rookie to make the Eagles’ Week 1 roster in 2021, Stoll played in 50 games (26 starts) over three seasons, with 20 receptions for 183 yards.
