DONE DEAL: Clemson land commitment from 2025 four-star over LSU, Ohio and Texas
Brad Brownell secured a significant addition to Clemson’s basketball program as four-star combo guard Zac Foster committed to the Tigers on Thursday afternoon. Foster, from Atlanta, Georgia, chose Clemson over Virginia Tech and other schools. Ranked as the No. 69 overall player in the 2025 class by 247Sports, Foster is the 12th-best combo guard and the eighth-ranked player in Georgia.
In an interview with 247Sports, Foster said, “The coaching staff was deeply invested in me. Coach Brownell laid out a clear plan for my development, and it aligned perfectly with my goals for college. It just felt like the perfect fit.”
Foster also highlighted Brownell’s commitment to helping him grow physically and skill-wise, saying, “[Brownell] told me he’d be there with me in the gym, helping me get bigger, stronger, and develop all the tools I need. The atmosphere and the teammates gave me a real homey vibe.”
Foster had just completed his official visit to Clemson, where he watched the Tigers’ 66-20 football win over Appalachian State. The previous weekend, he visited Virginia Tech in Blacksburg.
With Foster joining the 2025 class alongside three-star forward Trent Steinour, Clemson’s recruiting class now ranks 12th nationally according to 247Sports. The Tigers already have four players from the Atlanta area on their roster: guards Chase and Dillon Hunter, and forwards Ian Schieffelin and Chauncey Wiggins.
Coming off a historic second Elite Eight appearance, Clemson will open the 2024-25 season on Nov. 4 against Charleston Southern.
