Alabama dominated Wisconsin on Saturday with a decisive 42-10 victory, and the Crimson Tide were understandably fired up afterward. Wide receiver Germie Bernard didn’t hold back, stating, “we were ready to shut that weak a** jump song down.”

Bernard was referring to Wisconsin’s tradition of playing “Jump Around” by House of Pain between the third and fourth quarters during home games.

However, by the time the song played, the Badgers had little to celebrate, thanks to Alabama’s commanding lead. A transfer from Washington, Bernard recorded three catches for 55 yards and a touchdown in the game.

He broke free in the corner of the end zone, where Jalen Milroe delivered a perfectly placed pass for six points. Last season, Bernard played in Kalen DeBoer’s Washington offense, tallying 34 catches for 419 yards and two touchdowns while playing behind several future NFL wide receivers. This fall, he’s taking on a larger role for the Crimson Tide and is expected to be a key offensive player throughout the season.
