Following a challenging offseason marked by contract disputes and limited roster changes, the Dallas Cowboys bounced back with a decisive victory in Week 1 against the struggling Cleveland Browns.

The Cowboys easily handled a Browns team that appeared ineffective on offense, while Dallas demonstrated little difficulty moving the ball.

Dallas quickly took control of the game, maintained their lead throughout, managed the clock effectively, and exploited the Browns’ defense for significant gains when necessary.

Heading into Week 2, the Cowboys will face a tougher opponent in the New Orleans Saints, who are also 1-0.

However, the Cowboys’ win against the Browns came with some setbacks, as a few players sustained injuries. To address this, Dallas has announced the elevation of two players from their practice squad for the upcoming game against New Orleans:

“The @dallascowboys have elevated LB Nick Vigil and TE Princeton Fant from the practice squad for tomorrow’s game against New Orleans.”

Nick Vigil had limited playtime in Week 1 against the Browns but will get another opportunity to contribute in the upcoming game. Princeton Fant has been elevated from the practice squad following Jake Ferguson’s knee injury, which has left Ferguson listed as doubtful for the game.

With Ferguson potentially out, Dak Prescott may need to rely more heavily on CeeDee Lamb and Brandin Cooks in the passing game. However, Fant could see a few targets if the Saints focus their coverage on the primary wide receivers.

Despite these adjustments, the Cowboys remain the favorites to secure a win and advance to 2-0.
