On Thursday afternoon, UNC basketball assistant Brad Frederick visited Greenfield-Central School in Indiana to check on senior guard . According to 247Sports’ Jeff Rabjohns, defending back-to-back UConn national champion head coach Dan Hurley and his top assistant, Luke Murray, were also present in their attempt to succeed in what appears to be the last stretch of the 6-foot-5, 180-pound sharpshooter’s high-profile recruiting.

Mullins, who has jumped 85 spots since early June to No. 23 overall, No. 5 among shooting guards, and No. 3 in Indiana on the 247Sports 2025 Composite, paid a visit to the Tar Heels this weekend. He has since cancelled almost all of his remaining visits.

Braylon Mullins, a skilled backcourt player with elite bounce, is now preparing to narrow his top ten to five “early next week” and announce his decision date, according to national recruiting source Adam Zagoria on Wednesday.

His top ten are UNC, UConn, Duke, Kentucky, Kansas, Alabama, Indiana, Purdue, Tennessee, and Michigan.

In late May, the recently minted five-star prep received an offer from Hubert Davis, fourth-year UNC basketball head coach.

Davis and his cohort have yet to win a prize on the 2025 path. However, the Tar Heels still have a number of recruiting targets, including a few five-star prospects.
