Florida State finally ended its winless start to the 2024 season, and the program received more positive news on Saturday evening with a win over Cal and a significant recruiting victory.

Four-star running back Byron Louis announced his commitment to FSU via social media, choosing the Seminoles over Wisconsin, Miami, and Georgia. This is a major addition for the team, as Louis has been a priority recruit for the coaching staff.

A Florida native, Louis was one of the last uncommitted prospects on FSU’s recruiting board. He made his final official visit to Tallahassee in late June, after also visiting Wisconsin, Miami, and Georgia. He developed a strong connection with head coach Mike Norvell, running backs coach David Johnson, and other members of the staff.
