BREAKING: Seahawks Confirms More Bad News despite Week 3 win

Seattle Seahawks fans are thrilled with the team’s 3-0 start following their dominant win over the Miami Dolphins, but there are growing concerns about injuries to key players, including star defender Leonard Williams and first-round pick Byron Murphy. Both players exited during the blowout victory, adding to Seattle’s injury woes.

Before the game, the Seahawks were already without star running back Ken Walker, sidelined with an abdominal injury. Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald, who has yet to lose a game since taking over, addressed the injury to Williams, explaining that it’s a “midsection thing.”

“I don’t know the severity of it,” Macdonald said in a press conference on September 22, 2024. “There’s like a midsection thing. I don’t know if it’s ribs or whatever, but I think we got a picture of it. I don’t know what the results of that are, so we’ll see here in the next couple days.”

Murphy’s injury is also troubling, as the rookie has quickly become a vital part of the Seahawks’ defense. He suffered a hamstring injury during the game against Miami.

 

“Byron, he got a hamstring on a double team again,” Macdonald added. “Not sure the severity, so we’ll look at it this week.”

Both injuries will be monitored closely as the Seahawks prepare for Week 4.

The Seahawks Signed Star Pass Rusher Leonard Williams to a $64.5 Million Deal

 

Leonard Williams has quickly established himself as one of the Seahawks’ top players since being acquired in a midseason trade from the New York Giants in 2023. After hitting free agency this offseason, the Seahawks made it a priority to retain him, signing Williams to a substantial three-year, $64.5 million contract.

With Williams’ injury status uncertain, along with rookie Byron Murphy’s hamstring issue, it’s unclear if either defender will miss time. Their potential absence could be significant as the Seahawks prepare for a tough matchup against the Detroit Lions on Monday Night Football in Week 4. Currently, Seattle is listed as 4.5-point underdogs for the game.
