BREAKING: Auburn 5-Star DB Confirms Decommit with flip to Alabama
Highly rated star safety prospect from Thompson High School in Alabaster, Alabama, is set to officially visit Alabama football during the weekend of Oct. 26, when the Crimson Tide face Missouri. Though currently verbally committed to Auburn, Fegans has continued to develop his connection with Alabama’s coaching staff.
“I’m still building relationships with coach DeBoer and coach Hitsch (Colin Hitschler),” Fegans said in May. “Me and coach (Freddie) Roach already have a strong bond, and we’re just working to strengthen it further.”
At 6-foot-1 and around 180 pounds, Fegans is one of the top safety recruits in the country. He plays with a natural instinct for the position and has a knack for finding the football, often turning turnovers into scoring opportunities.
Whether playing deep safety or in press coverage, Fegans shows versatility as a physical defender. He’s also an effective open-field tackler, consistently getting lower than ball carriers to bring them down.
