Cam Ward, the No. 7 Miami Hurricanes quarterback, has established himself as one of the best quarterbacks in the country this season, guiding one of Miami’s most successful teams in recent memory.
On Tuesday, the ACC recognised him for his outstanding accomplishment, cementing his place in the Heisman race as Miami begins conference play.
Ward was selected ACC Quarterback of the Week after throwing for a season-high 404 yards, his fourth straight game with 300+ passing yards.

So far this season, Ward has 1,439 yards, 14 touchdowns, and two interceptions. He has a quarterback rating of 94.4, the second highest in NCAA football, and an astounding passer rating of 204.9.
His expertise, paired with his brilliant skill set, complements Mario Cristobal’s offence. He has improved significantly since transferring from Washington State.
With the Hurricanes at 4-0, they will play a difficult Virginia Tech club on Saturday, providing another good opportunity for a huge win.
