BREAKING: 5 Star Indiana WR Confirms Flip To Notre Dame
After visiting Notre Dame a few months ago, Indiana receiver will return to South Bend for the Irish’s game against Louisville on Saturday.
“I went there for a football camp earlier in the summer,” the 2026 Indiana receiver told Irish Sports Daily. “It was really cool. I had a great time.”
“I like the environment a lot, and it’s close to home too, which is a bonus.”
The Carroll High School standout, who also attended Irish Invasion, holds early offers from schools like Marshall, Toledo, Eastern Michigan, Ball State, and Akron.
“It’s really cool,” said the 5-foot-10, 160-pounder. “I’m always hoping for more offers, but I’m really grateful for the ones I have.”
Vanpelt is also drawing interest from several major Power 4 programs.
“They like how I can create separation, make catches, and my overall ability to get open,” he explained.
He’s eager to learn more about Notre Dame this weekend.
“I want to see what the real experience with the football team is like—the energy, the environment they bring,” he said.
He recently visited Purdue and is considering visits to other schools.
“I might check out Penn State, OSU, and a few others,” he noted.
Though it’s early, Vanpelt already knows some key factors for his final decision.
“The relationships they build with my family are really important. Feeling at home and how they treat me will be big in my decision.”
