BREAKING: Jordan Love drops major huge boost ahead of Packers vs. Vikings in Week 4
The Green Bay Packers have found ways to win their last two games without quarterback Jordan Love, but with a crucial divisional matchup against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 4, they’re hoping to get their star QB back on the field. Love participated in Wednesday’s practice, continuing to build on a full week of practice from the previous week. Although he was listed as questionable for Week 3, the Packers ultimately decided to hold him out for another game.
Backup quarterback Malik Willis stepped up and delivered a strong performance against the Tennessee Titans, helping Green Bay secure a second straight win in Love’s absence.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport offered a positive update, suggesting it would “make sense” for Love to return this week against Minnesota. Following his practice session on Wednesday, Love hinted at a potential return, leaving fans hopeful he’ll be back in action for the pivotal divisional showdown.
Jordan Love’s comments sound like good news for Packers’ Week 4 game vs. Vikings
After practice, Jordan Love spoke to reporters and shared some optimism about his recovery, saying he’s “moving better and improving each day.” When asked about his chances of playing in last week’s win over the Titans, he revealed, “I was pretty close.” Whether intentional or not, that statement certainly sounds like a hint.
Given that Love was nearly ready to play last week, it would make sense that an additional seven days of recovery could be enough for him to return. Initial reports indicated that Love’s sprained MCL could sideline him for three to six weeks, but if he plays this Sunday, he’d be slightly ahead of that timeline, missing just two games. The upcoming matchup will mark 23 days since he sustained the injury during the Packers’ game in Brazil.
Jordan Love asked if he’s less limited in practice: “We’re building it up for sure. Every day is a little bit better.”
Says he’s “definitely” moving better.

As long as there’s no risk of worsening the injury, Love’s chances of playing seem to be improving. His comfort level and mobility will be key factors in the decision, but practice footage and pre-game warmups suggest he’s moving well. While the Packers are keeping their plans under wraps, even from the Vikings, all signs are pointing to a possible Love return this week.
