Philadelphia Eagles safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson had strong criticism for the New Orleans Saints following Sunday’s game, accusing them of being a “dirty team” after rookie defensive tackle Khristian Boyd’s hit on receiver DeVonta Smith. Gardner-Johnson himself was fined by the NFL for three separate incidents in Week 3, including one for a dirty play. According to Zach Berman of PHLY, Gardner-Johnson was penalized for two unsportsmanlike conduct infractions, as well as an illegal hit in the first quarter. Berman reported, “C.J. Gardner-Johnson was fined for three separate incidents against New Orleans,” including $11,255 for unnecessary roughness in the first quarter, and $16,883 for taunting in both the second and third quarters.
