BREAKING: Packers to Cut Starter Immediately After Week 4 Disaster
It seems the Packers may have chosen the wrong kicker, and it cost them heavily on Sunday. Their Week 4 comeback attempt against the Vikings came up just short, with much of the blame falling on Brayden Narveson’s poor performance, casting doubt on his future with the team. Narveson missed a 37-yard field goal early and later missed another from 49 yards. Green Bay lost by just two points, meaning either kick could have secured a third straight win. Adding to the frustration, Greg Joseph, whom the Packers cut after training camp, went five-for-five on field goals for the Giants on Thursday.
Packers K Brayden Narveson Costs Green Bay Week 4 Game
While the loss can’t be entirely blamed on Brayden Narveson, he certainly bears a large share of the responsibility. He also missed a critical kick in the Packers’ five-point Week 1 loss to the Eagles. Unless he shows significant improvement in practice, it’s time for Green Bay to explore other options at kicker.
Jordan Love had a rough start but bounced back to lead the comeback. If Narveson had made even one of his missed kicks, the late touchdown to Dontayvion Wicks might have secured the win.

Narveson is a rookie, and while he has room to grow, the Packers don’t have the luxury of waiting in a highly competitive NFC North. The kicker competition was a key storyline during the offseason, and it appears the coaching staff made the wrong choice.
Brayden Narveson misses a 49-yarder wide right. Might be time for the Packers to find a new kicker.

In the NFL, small margins matter. Instead of being 3-1 and leading the division, the Packers are now 2-2, two games behind Minnesota. Green Bay has some tough decisions to make, but one thing is clear: Narveson isn’t the solution at such a critical position.
