The Green Bay Packers were defeated by the Minnesota Vikings 31-29 on Sunday. During the game, Brayden Narveson missed two crucial field goals. This brings his total to four missed field goals in the last four games of the season.

GREEN BAY, Wis. – On Thursday, three starters from the Green Bay Packers returned to practice, but starting wide receiver Romeo Doubs and rookie linebacker Edgerrin Cooper were absent. Coach Matt LaFleur mentioned that Doubs missed practice for personal reasons.

When asked about Doubs’ return on Friday, LaFleur expressed optimism, saying, “I would hope so.”

Cooper, who played a career-high 21 snaps against the Vikings on Sunday, was seen riding a stationary bike inside the Hutson Center and did not participate with his teammates on Clarke Hinkle Field. He had limited participation in Wednesday’s practice due to a hip injury.

Cooper, a second-round draft pick following an All-American season at Texas A&M, missed both Family Night and the preseason due to a hip injury. Despite that, he’s made an impact on defense and special teams, recording four tackles across three of his four games. His notable plays include a half-sack against the Titans and his first full tackle for loss against the Vikings.

Linebackers coach Anthony Campanile praised Cooper’s development since returning to action. “He didn’t play in the preseason, so this is his first experience,” Campanile said after Wednesday’s practice. “From the first game in Brazil, I’ve seen him progress every week. He’s really absorbing the system and working extra hard.”

Campanile added, “He’s an explosive athlete and great to be around. Every day, I see him improving, even in individual drills. He’s putting in the effort. If Cooper is unavailable, the Packers would revert to their veteran linebacker trio, with Quay Walker in the middle, supported by Isaiah McDuffie and Eric Wilson on the sides.

In other news, quarterback Jordan Love fully participated in Thursday’s full-pads practice. He had been limited in all three practices leading up to his inactive status for Week 3 against Tennessee, and his return last week against Minnesota.Wide receiver Jayden Reed mentioned that the more Love practices, the better the passing game will become, signaling growing efficiency as Love gets more reps.

“Repetition is always important,” Jayden Reed emphasized. “The more reps you get, the better you become. I definitely think our execution has improved with the increased reps.”Christian Watson (ankle), Luke Musgrave (ankle), and Devonte Wyatt (ankle) missed their second straight practice.

Jordan Love addressed Watson’s absence, saying, “It sucks, but it’s that next-man-up mentality. We have a deep receiving corps, and a lot of guys have had plenty of reps and game experience, so I’m confident they’ll step up.”

On the positive side, three starters returned to practice. Cornerback Jaire Alexander, who missed the Vikings game with a groin injury, was back for the full-pads session. Defensive tackle Kenny Clark, who participated in Wednesday’s pre-practice stretch but remained inside due to a toe injury, also returned to the field.

Left guard Elgton Jenkins, who missed Wednesday’s practice due to a knee injury, returned to the field on Thursday. Jenkins had previously mentioned that the injury wouldn’t prevent him from playing in Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams.

Cornerback Carrington Valentine was also back for the second day in a row after missing two games with an ankle injury. Coach Matt LaFleur expressed excitement about Valentine’s potential, saying, “That’d be huge for our depth. CV has a high ceiling, and we’re excited about the progress he made in the offseason. Though he missed most of the preseason and has been sidelined, he was playing well, and we’re eager to see him back.”

The Rams are dealing with their own injury woes. Receiver Puka Nacua is on injured reserve, Cooper Kupp is out with an ankle injury, and tight end Tyler Higbee remains on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list. The only change in their injury report from Wednesday was defensive end Larrell Murchison, who went from limited to not participating, now dealing with both a forearm and foot injury.
