ROSTER MOVE: Bengals’ activate elite CB from practice squad to active roster
The Cincinnati Bengals secured their first win of the 2024 NFL season by defeating the Carolina Panthers in Week 4. Despite dealing with injuries and inconsistent performances, they finally put it all together to earn a much-needed victory.
However, they face a bigger challenge in Week 5, hosting AFC North rivals, the Baltimore Ravens. Baltimore, after losing their first two games, has won two straight and will aim to extend that streak against Cincinnati.
While the Bengals’ defense has been decent, they’ll need to improve to slow down Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry, and the Ravens’ offense. Ahead of the game, Cincinnati promoted cornerback Jalen Davis from the practice squad, as announced via their official X account.

It’s a standard practice squad promotion for Davis, who will return to the practice squad on Monday.
With veteran defensive back Mike Hilton listed as questionable due to a knee ailment, Davis could see action on defence, but he’ll most likely serve as depth or on special teams.
Baltimore hasn’t been outstanding passing the football this season, but their run game has crushed opponents, so it’ll be intriguing to see how Cincinnati approaches generating stops and scoring on the opposite end.
