BREAKING: Green Bay Packers GM Makes Shocking Revelations On New Kickers Allegations
The Green Bay Packers have struggled with kicking issues since the departure of their all-time scoring leader, Mason Crosby. Following their win over the Arizona Cardinals, the team parted ways with Braden Narveson and signed veteran kicker and Super Bowl champion Brandon McManus.
While the move is a logical one from a talent standpoint, concerns have been raised due to off-field allegations involving McManus.
Green Bay Packers Sign Brandon McManus, Formerly Released Due To Assault Lawsuit
Brandon McManus has enjoyed a notable NFL career, highlighted by his Super Bowl victory in 2016 with the Denver Broncos. Over his nine seasons with Denver, he became the franchise’s second-highest points scorer. After spending his tenth season with the Jacksonville Jaguars, he later signed with the Washington Commanders. However, McManus was released by Washington before ever playing a game, following the filing of a sexual harassment lawsuit stemming from an alleged incident during his time with the Jaguars.
The lawsuit claims the incident occurred during a return flight from London, where McManus and several teammates reportedly ignored safety protocols and personal boundaries. According to the plaintiffs, what started as a routine trip “quickly turned into a party,” with McManus allegedly handing out $100 bills to encourage inappropriate behavior, including excessive drinking and dancing. The lawsuit further accuses McManus of becoming intoxicated and sexually assaulting both plaintiffs, pointing to the Jaguars’ failure to enforce in-flight policies as a contributing factor. Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson stated he was unaware of the allegations until the lawsuit became public.
Although the NFL did not find sufficient evidence to suspend McManus, and the case was reportedly “resolved” according to McManus and his legal team, the controversy has cast a shadow over his career.
Green Bay Packers GM Brian Gutekunsts Assured A Proper Investigation
After signing Brandon McManus, Green Bay Packers General Manager Brian Gutekunst addressed the obvious concern surrounding the team’s new kicker. McManus has been highly reliable on short- to mid-range field goals, successfully converting 90.8% of his attempts from inside 50 yards. However, his accuracy declines considerably on longer kicks, making only 54.9% of his attempts from 50 yards or more. Overall, McManus has made 81.4% of his field goals throughout his career across all distances.
Packers GM Brian Gutekunst said not only did they rely on the NFL’s investigation and also their own research into the accusations against Brandon McManus, but he needed to hear it from the kicker himself before they signed him last night. pic.twitter.com/5MoNglxdFy

Final Thoughts
In the end, the NFL found no grounds to suspend Brandon McManus, and the Green Bay Packers saw no reason to pass on signing the kicker. The lawsuit against him was “resolved” with little apparent public outcry from the alleged victims. However, despite these outcomes, Packers fans are wary of such signings becoming a common occurrence in Wisconsin and hope the organization remains cautious in its future decisions.
