labama football is searching for solutions as it tries to halt its decline. With each game, the Crimson Tide appears less like the dominant team that controlled the first half against Georgia at the end of September.

The most recent example is Alabama’s 24-17 loss to Tennessee on Saturday at Neyland Stadium, marking their second defeat in the last three games. This is also the first time since 2007 that Alabama has suffered two losses before November, which was Nick Saban’s first season as the Crimson Tide’s head coach.

In the final question of Kalen DeBoer’s post-game press conference, the Alabama coach was asked about his message to the fans. He shared his thoughts for both the players and the fans.

“I told the guys, the message to them is to get back to work,” DeBoer said. “First, do some soul-searching. Look inward. I know there are enough players who still believe and still want to accomplish what we set out to do. There’s a lot of season left, not just for us, but for everyone. It’s going to pass quickly if we don’t take advantage. The urgency has to be there.”

Next, Alabama will face Missouri at home for its homecoming game next Saturday. But we have to put in the work before that game and find a way to make the next big leap,” DeBoer said.He added that Alabama is currently falling short when it comes to making the key plays needed to win, emphasizing the importance of his team ensuring that “our minds are right.”

“Make sure our hearts are in the right place,” DeBoer said. “And then, all I know is, you just go back to work. That’s the only thing you can do. That’s what we’ve always done. After talking with the guys in the locker room, I truly believe that’s what they want to do as well.”

“Don’t lose faith in these players because they’re making big sacrifices that most people will never know about,” DeBoer said. “They keep pushing forward. It could be physical challenges and other things, but they’re working hard and take great pride in who they are individually and who we are as Alabama.

With that, DeBoer’s press conference came to an end. He walked out of the room beneath Neyland Stadium, ready to begin preparations for the next week as Alabama fights to keep its College Football Playoff hopes alive.
