The Seahawks have reached a deal with the Jaguars to strengthen their defensive line by acquiring veteran defensive tackle Roy Robertson-Harris. The trade is awaiting a physical for Robertson-Harris, who was in London with the Jaguars after their Week 6 matchup against Chicago.

Robertson-Harris, 31, has played in 106 games, starting 62, since entering the NFL as an undrafted free agent from UTEP in 2016. After spending his rookie year on the non-football illness list, he appeared in 52 games with 13 starts for the Bears over the next four seasons. His performance in Chicago earned him a free-agent contract with the Jaguars in 2021. Since joining Jacksonville, Robertson-Harris has started 49 of the 54 games he’s played, including all 17 games in each of the last two seasons.

In his eight-season career, the 6-foot-5, 290-pound Robertson-Harris has accumulated 198 tackles, 19.0 sacks, 26 tackles for loss, 66 quarterback hits, and 13 passes defensed. So far this season, through six games, he has played 50% of Jacksonville’s defensive snaps, registering 2.0 sacks, seven tackles, and four quarterback hits.

Optimistic DK Metcalf Injury Isn’t Serious

ATLANTA—The Seahawks’ 34-14 victory over the Falcons had plenty of highlights, including key defensive takeaways, impactful offensive plays, and strong performances from players stepping in for injured starters. However, the downside of Sunday’s game was watching DK Metcalf exit the field on a cart in the fourth quarter due to a knee injury. The injury occurred late in the third quarter during a leaping catch that was ultimately ruled out of bounds.

Metcalf, who recorded four catches for 99 yards and a touchdown, was unable to return after his injury, but Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald remained hopeful that it wasn’t severe.

“On that sideline catch, he banged up his knee a little,” Macdonald said. “We’re not sure of the severity, but we’re optimistic it’s not too bad.”Macdonald also mentioned an ankle injury to cornerback Nehemiah Pritchett late in the game, which he noted “didn’t look serious.”

The Seahawks entered the game without right tackle Stone Forsythe and cornerbacks Riq Woolen and Tre Brown. This led to Nehemiah Pritchett and Josh Jobe stepping in at cornerback, while rookie Michael Jerrell started at right tackle.

Coach Mike Macdonald said he’s uncertain when Forsythe, sidelined with a hand injury, will return but expressed optimism that George Fant, who started the season at right tackle before suffering a knee injury in the opener, could be back at practice this week.We think so, there’s a chance, yeah,” Macdonald said. “We’ll see. It’s not definite yet, but we’re hopeful it will be soon.”
