“After lots of thought and prayer, I will be stepping away from my commitment to the University of North Carolina and changing my commitment to the University of Alabama,” Marshall Pritchett said in a statement. “(I’m) very excited for this opportunity Alabama has presented and can’t wait to work in January.” With this decision, Pritchett is setting himself up for an early start at Alabama, where he will enroll in January and begin training with the team, looking forward to making an impact in the Crimson Tide’s offense.

According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Marshall Pritchett is listed as the **No. 22 tight end** in the 2025 class and the **No. 404 overall player**. He stands at **6-foot-6** and weighs **225 pounds**.Pritchett comes from a football background; his father, **Wes Pritchett**, played college football at Notre Dame and had a stint in the NFL.

In his scouting report, 247Sports director of scouting **Andrew Ivins** highlighted Pritchett’s strengths: “Uses high football IQ to take advantage of zone coverage and has proven to be rather competitive in catch-and-run situations.” While Pritchett has limited in-line experience, he is described as a willing blocker on the perimeter and is expected to become more effective as his play strength improves. He projects as an **F-tight end** who can line up in various positions to create mismatches.
