BREAKING: Steelers Sign WR To Practice Squad
The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed wide receiver to their practice squad, as announced in a team release. Isabella, who previously had a workout with the Steelers on October 1, entered the NFL in 2019 as a second-round pick (No. 62 overall) by the Arizona Cardinals. Throughout his career, he’s played in 41 games with three starts, all of which were with the Cardinals during his first two seasons. Over his career, Isabella has logged 33 catches on 54 targets, totaling 447 yards and three touchdowns. He’s also appeared in three playoff games—one with the Ravens and two with the Bills—though he has only one target and no receptions in those games.
In addition to his receiving duties, Isabella has experience in special teams, covering various roles like kick and punt returns, though he hasn’t held a consistent role in these areas. He briefly participated in punt coverage early in his career, but hasn’t done so since 2021. Isabella has not seen game action in 2024.
The Steelers have recently elevated WR Brandon Johnson from the practice squad twice; since he can only be elevated one more time, Isabella’s addition provides additional flexibility if further receiver elevations are necessary on game days.

Roman Wilson’s absence has also impacted the active receiver count. Isabella, who ran a 4.31-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine and was a Biletnikoff Award finalist in 2018, joined the NFL from the University of Massachusetts at 5-foot-8 ⅝ inches and 188 pounds.
