The Cincinnati Bengals are rallying to turn around a rocky start to their 2024 season. After dropping four of their first five games, they managed to secure close wins against the New York Giants and Cleveland Browns. With Week 8 approaching, they aim to extend their winning streak against the Philadelphia Eagles.

However, the Bengals might face the Eagles without their No. 2 wide receiver, Tee Higgins, who suffered a quad injury in practice on Friday. Higgins, who was franchised by Cincinnati following stalled contract talks, has been a topic of trade rumors as the November 5 trade deadline looms. Despite the speculation, both Higgins and the Bengals have downplayed any trade intentions, with Higgins affirming his commitment to his teammates.

In an appearance on *Up and Adams*, Higgins addressed the chatter: “I’m locked in with the guys and ready to keep it pushing. Let’s hope we don’t lose and none of that will have to come up… I just in one ear and out the other.

Bengals have not hit their stride on offense yet

The Bengals have built an impressive offensive lineup, but execution has been challenging this season. Despite standout playmakers, the team has struggled with consistency, especially early on. With recent back-to-back wins, though, they’re building momentum. If they can keep this offense firing and tighten up key areas, a push for the playoffs is within reach. The upcoming game against the Eagles will be a crucial test, especially with Tee Higgins’ status up in the air.

For the Bengals to keep their playoff hopes alive, having a healthy Tee Higgins on the field is crucial. Joe Burrow has been efficient, completing 70.4% of his passes for 1,759 yards and 14 touchdowns, showcasing his playmaking ability. Ja’Marr Chase leads the receiving corps with 620 yards and six touchdowns, including a spectacular 70-yard catch. Higgins, while currently dealing with a quad injury, has added valuable production with 341 yards and three touchdowns. In the backfield, Chase Brown has been effective, rushing for 327 yards and three touchdowns on an impressive 5.0 yards per carry. If they can stay healthy and keep their key offensive pieces working in sync, the Bengals have a real shot at getting back into the playoff conversation.
