BREAKING: Erin Andrews Reveals Bills Star DL’s Trash Talk to Nemesis Tom Brady
In his six NFL seasons, Bills defensive lineman Ed Oliver has become a standout at his position, known as a dependable tackle and a consistent starter for Buffalo since his rookie year. Last summer, he signed a significant four-year, $68 million contract. During his time in the league, Oliver shared the field with Tom Brady both when Brady was with the Patriots and later with the Buccaneers, developing a well-known rivalry with the legendary quarterback. In Oliver’s rookie season, he tackled Brady twice, and after one hit, Brady tried to trip him as he got up. Their tension flared again in 2021 when Brady, then with Tampa Bay, had another run-in with Oliver. As reported by Chron.com, after Brady was stopped on a sneak attempt, Oliver stepped over him, which enraged Brady. Brady stood up, almost toppling Oliver, who reacted by swinging his arm. Brady then bumped Oliver, and Oliver responded with a two-handed shove before they were separated.
On the “Calm Down” podcast with Charissa Thompson, Erin Andrews shared a recent story about meeting Oliver before the Bills’ game against the Seahawks, which Fox was covering with Brady as the color analyst. “I talked to Ed Oliver, who’s fantastic. He’s our kind of guy,” Andrews said. “He was fun to interview, so I saved it.

Before the game, he came up to us, and I’m running around doing my thing. I’m also showing Brady around since people are coming up to him constantly.”
Andrews said she pulled Brady away from a conversation to introduce him to Oliver, who, given their history, might not have been Brady’s first choice for a meet-and-greet.

But Oliver handled it with some smooth trash-talk. “So Ed walks over, and I go, ‘Hey, hey, hey, Kevin Burkhardt, Erin Andrews, Tom Brady.’ And he looks at Brady and goes, ‘Oh yeah, Tom. I know you.’ Then he says, ‘Hey, you miss me?’ Kevin and I were like, ‘Oooooh,’ it was perfect.” The Bills went on to dominate the Seahawks, 31-10, with Oliver contributing four tackles and a quarterback hit.
