BREAKING: NC State flips South Carolina TE commit Preston Douglas. NC State flips South Carolina tight end commit Preston Douglas. North Palm Beach (Fla.) The Benjamin School tight end/FLEXY Preston Douglas has flipped his commitment from South Carolina to NC State. The 6-foot-3, 230-pound Douglas chose the Pack over the Gamecocks, and 20-plus other scholarship offers, including Indiana, Syracuse, USF and Wake Forest. “I just feel like after watching their tight end have such a great season and some really good conversations with the coaches, it’s the best opportunity I could find in the nation,” Douglas said. “It’s setup good for me there and I’m really excited.”.

Through six games this season, Douglas has 16 receptions for 225 yards and three touchdowns on offense and 11 tackles, including four for loss and three sacks defensively.
