‘He’s a Buffalo Bills hero’: Bills Mafia honoring Buffalo Bills kicker Tyler Bass with another donation blitz

Months after fans raised $400,000 in Tyler Bass’ name for Ten Lives Club, the Buffalo Bills fanbase, known as Bills Mafia, is once again showing their charitable spirit. Following Bass’ record-setting 61-yard field goal in the Bills’ win over the Miami Dolphins, donations have poured in for the Western New York animal shelter.

The historic kick, which secured a 30-27 victory over Miami, came with just five seconds left in the game, breaking a franchise record and inspiring fans to contribute to Ten Lives Club. Donations started flowing immediately after Bass’ clutch kick, which broke a 27-27 tie.

As of Sunday evening, the shelter reported receiving $2,000 in donations through their website and Facebook, with many fans contributing $61 in honor of the 61-yard field goal.

UPDATE: As of Monday morning, more than $13,000 has been donated to Ten Lives Club.

This isn’t the first time Bills fans have rallied around Tyler Bass by supporting Ten Lives Club. After Bass missed a crucial 44-yard field goal late in last year’s AFC Divisional Playoffs, which ended in a 27-24 loss to Kansas City, fans donated over $400,000 to the shelter to show their support.

Bills Mafia donating to Ten Lives Club in honor of kicker Tyler Bass

In May, Ten Lives Club announced plans to build the “Tyler Bass Adoption Center,” funded by the generosity of the Bills Mafia.

Now, with Bass redeeming himself through his record-setting 61-yard kick to secure a victory over the Miami Dolphins, donations have started pouring in once again. The shelter acknowledged the sentiment, saying, “This time it’s for Tyler’s redemption story!”
