BREAKING: Bills sign DTs Jordan Phillips, Quinton Jefferson
The Buffalo Bills signed defensive tackles Jordan Phillips and Quinton Jefferson to one-year deals on Wednesday, though financial details were not disclosed.
Phillips, 32, returns to Buffalo for his third stint with the team. Earlier this season, he recorded one tackle in two games with the Dallas Cowboys before being placed on injured reserve due to a wrist injury on Sept. 18. The Cowboys released him Tuesday, following the NFL trade deadline, without activating him off injured reserve.
Over his career, Phillips has amassed 182 tackles, 24 sacks, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and one interception in 122 games (62 starts), playing for the Miami Dolphins (2015-18), Bills (2018-19, 2022-23), Arizona Cardinals (2020-21), and Cowboys.
Jefferson, who previously played with the Bills in 2020, recorded six tackles and one sack in five games with the Cleveland Browns this season before his release on Tuesday. The 31-year-old has 198 tackles, 27.5 sacks, 79 quarterback hits, and four fumble recoveries in 108 games (62 starts) with teams including the Seattle Seahawks (2016-19, 2022), Bills (2020), Las Vegas Raiders (2021), New York Jets (2023), and Browns.
