Bills head coach Sean McDermott announced Friday that rookie receiver Keon Coleman could be sidelined for several weeks due to a wrist injury, which will keep him out of Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Coleman appeared to sustain the injury last Sunday when Dolphins safety Jordan Poyer hit him hard while he was attempting a catch during the Bills’ game-winning drive in their 30-27 victory over Miami. Poyer was flagged for unnecessary roughness on the play, a penalty that set up Tyler Bass’s record-breaking 61-yard field goal for Buffalo.

The rookie, a second-round selection from Florida State, has recorded 417 receiving yards—ranking second on the team—and is tied for the lead in receiving touchdowns with three.

The AFC East-leading Bills (7-2) may also be missing receiver Amari Cooper for a second straight game. Cooper is listed as questionable after limited participation in practice this week, still wearing a brace on his left wrist. Since joining from Cleveland last month, Cooper has caught five passes for 69 yards and one touchdown across two games.

Additionally, backup linebacker Baylon Spector was added to the injury list on Friday, marked as questionable with a calf injury.

In positive news, starting cornerback Christian Benford will return to action, as he is no longer listed with an injury after sitting out last week’s game with a wrist issue.
