BREAKING: The Buffalo Bills placed linebacker Spector on IR and promoted two receivers for their game against the Indianapolis Colts
The Buffalo Bills placed backup linebacker Baylon Spector on injured reserve on Saturday after he injured his calf during practice this week.
Spector was previously listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts, but he is now expected to miss at least four games.
Spector made three starts in his third season, replacing Terrel Bernard. When he wasn’t starting, Spector was the primary backup to Dorian Williams, who had been filling in for Matt Milano at outside linebacker.
Milano tore his left biceps in August and isn’t expected back until early December.
Tyrell Shavers and K.J. Hamler, wide receivers for the AFC East-leading Buffalo Bills (7-2), were both elevated from the practice squad. Buffalo may be short on receivers, as rookie Keon Coleman is projected to miss many weeks with a wrist injury, while Amari Cooper is uncertain to participate due to a left wrist injury.
