JUST NOW: 4-star rated star commits to Auburn from SEC powerhouse
Over the weekend, Auburn basketball secured its third commitment for the 2025 recruiting class with the addition of Sebastian Williams-Adams. The four-star power forward from Houston, Texas, announced his decision to join head coach Bruce Pearl and the Tigers during a live broadcast on the 247 Sports YouTube channel.
Williams-Adams selected Auburn over Oklahoma State, Vanderbilt, and Purdue, having also visited several other top programs during his recruitment.
“Auburn has a history,” Williams-Adams said after his official visit this fall, via *Auburn Undercover*. “Coach Pearl has talked to me multiple times about their success with big guards and forwards. They’ve made it feel like more than just a recruiting trip—it’s like a family environment. Coach Pearl has spent time just hanging out with us.
“Since the Top 100 Camp, he hasn’t let me forget how much he wants me here and how strongly he believes he can help me reach the next level. That kind of confidence from a coach is really refreshing and exciting.”
Kayin Lee talks about freshman Demarcus Riddick’s first start
It was a milestone day for true freshman linebacker Demarcus Riddick, who earned his first career start on Saturday against ULM. Riddick made the most of the opportunity, recording two tackles for loss and a sack.
Riddick has been a key part of Auburn’s defensive rotation this season, especially after a standout performance against Oklahoma earlier in the year. So far, he has tallied 17 tackles, including four for a loss, showcasing his ability to make impactful plays.
His efforts have not gone unnoticed by his teammates, including cornerback Kayin Lee.
“Demarcus is a dog,” Lee said postgame, via *Auburn Rivals*. “He’s got that dog in him, and we’re all behind him. Everyone on the team believes in him, and he just needs to keep it up—it’s definitely helping the team.”
The Tigers will return to Jordan-Hare Stadium this Saturday for their final home game, hosting Texas A&M.
