BREAKING: 5-star Alabama decommit confirms flip to Georgia
Georgia football is making a push to flip a talented running back who recently decommitted from Alabama. With the early signing period just two weeks away, the recruiting trail is heating up as players finalize their decisions. Some will remain committed to their current schools, while others may flip to new programs.
Georgia is bracing for potential changes to its recruiting class during this period. Ideally, the Bulldogs aim to be on the receiving end of these flips, strengthening their class. However, there’s always a chance that a recruit could decide Georgia isn’t the right fit.
The latest development suggests Georgia is in a promising position to secure a commitment from the former Alabama pledge, adding intrigue to the final stretch of recruiting.
4-star RB Anthony Rogers
Four-star running back Anthony Rogers is a key player Georgia fans should closely watch. Ranked as the No. 147 overall player in the nation by the 247Sports composite rankings, Rogers is also the No. 8 running back in the country and the No. 10 player from Alabama.
Rogers recently decommitted from Alabama and, according to On3, has narrowed his decision down to Georgia and Ohio State. He plans to announce his commitment at the start of the early signing period in December.
As of now, it seems Georgia may be trailing Ohio State in this race. In the past two days, four crystal ball predictions on 247Sports have been made in favor of Ohio State. This doesn’t mean Georgia is out of the running, but Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs have a lot of work ahead if they hope to flip Rogers’ commitment.
