BREAKING: Bengals Confirms Flip from Former Cardinals CB
The Cincinnati Bengals have claimed former Arizona Cardinals cornerback Marco Wilson off waivers, as reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Wilson, who was recently waived by the New England Patriots, played in 10 games for New England this season, primarily as a backup. Before joining the Patriots, he started 37 games for the Cardinals from 2021 to 2023.
James Rapien of *Cincinnati Bengals on SI* noted that Wilson, a fourth-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft (136th overall), will help address the Bengals’ needs at cornerback following DJ Turner II’s broken clavicle in Week 11. In addition, the Bengals have added Kendall Milton to their practice squad.
The Bengals, currently 4-7 and struggling with three losses in their last four games, are on a bye week before facing the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 13. This gives Wilson two weeks to acclimate to his new team. Despite limited action with the Patriots—playing just 32% of their defensive snaps—Wilson managed one pass breakup this season.
