JUST NOW: Cardinals’ Latest Injury Shock! Key CB Added to Report Before Huge Seahawks Game
Arizona— Prior to their Week 12 game against the Seattle Seahawks, the Arizona Cardinals made public their injury report on Thursday, and a new name appeared on it:
Cardinals Thursday Practice Report
The Arizona Cardinals added rookie cornerback Max Melton to the injury report with an illness after practicing without any issues on Wednesday. Melton has played 57% of the defensive snaps this season. Meanwhile, safety Jalen Thompson missed a second consecutive practice due to an ankle injury, raising doubts about his availability for Sunday’s game. If Thompson can’t play, expect Dadrion Taylor-Demerson, Joey Blount, or practice squad safety Andre Chachere to step in next to Budda Baker.
Several other players were limited in practice, including Emari Demercado (shoulder), Darius Robinson (calf), Dadrion Taylor-Demerson (back), Jonah Williams (knee), and Kelvin Beachum (rest). Williams and Beachum practiced today, with the status of the offensive line still uncertain. Robinson, who practiced for the second straight day, could make his debut this Sunday after receiving praise from Budda Baker.
Head coach Jonathan Gannon acknowledged the challenge of playing in Seattle, noting the difficulty of the loud stadium, the weather, and the Seahawks’ strong offense and defense. He emphasized that the team needs to perform well in all three phases to have a chance against Seattle. The Cardinals will have one more practice on Friday before revealing player statuses for the game.
