BREAKING: Texas Longhorns QB Quinn Ewers Enters 2025 NFL Draft
Texas Longhorns quarterback Quinn Ewers is reportedly leaning toward declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft after this season. According to Horns247‘s Chip Brown, Ewers is expected to make the jump, though he has not officially confirmed his decision.
During Monday’s media availability, Ewers downplayed the speculation, saying, “Who knows? I’m just trying to win this week.”
If Ewers does declare, Saturday’s matchup against the Kentucky Wildcats could be his final game at Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium—unless the Longhorns host a first-round College Football Playoff game.
Since joining Texas in 2022, Ewers has solidified himself as one of the nation’s premier quarterbacks. In 2023, he led the Longhorns to a 12-2 record, a Big 12 Championship, and a College Football Playoff berth, throwing for 3,479 yards, 22 touchdowns, and six interceptions while completing 69% of his passes.
In 2024, Ewers has continued his impressive play, guiding Texas to a 9-1 record and the No. 3 spot in the CFP Rankings. Over eight games, he has completed 68.4% of his passes for 1,898 yards, 21 touchdowns, and six interceptions, keeping the Longhorns in the playoff hunt.
Widely regarded as a top-five quarterback in his draft class, Ewers is projected as a first- or second-round pick in most mock drafts.
