REPORT: Georgia Bulldogs 4-star RB Shock fans as he decommit to join SEC powerhouse
4-star RB flips commitment from Georgia to Florida State. The Dawgs are down a commitment as one of the nation’s top running backs flips to Florida State. First-year assistant Josh Crawford is once again searching for a second running back for the 2025 cycle as Leesburg (Ga.) Lee County four-star has flipped his commitment from Georgia to Florida State.
Kromah was a longtime target for the Seminoles with head coach Mike Norvell telling him at one point that he’s the prospect he’s interacted with the most in his entire coaching career. Their relationship goes back to Kromah’s freshman year of high school. Kromah and the staff in Tallahassee remained in frequent contact and it paid off for the Seminoles on signing day. The Dawgs signed three-star running back Bo Walker early on Wednesday. Kromah has had another prolific campaign, with 143 carries for 1,190 yards and 14 rushing touchdowns on the season, along with 28 catches for 597 yards and seven touchdown catches. The Lee County (Ga.) running back has been one of the Peach State’s best since his freshman year of high school. Statistically, Kromah has averaged 140 yards rushing per game over the last three seasons at Lee County. He scored over 20 touchdowns each of the last three seasons as well. Kromah originally committed to Georgia in October over Auburn, Florida State, and Tennessee. “Coach Crawford. He makes me feel wanted,” Kromah said when he committed. “He makes a point to make sure I understand that. I’m the running back he wants. He makes sure I know he’s going to be there for me through anything. Being from Lee County, that makes it that much better. He’s going to take care of me. He knows people that take care of me,” Kromah told Dawgs247 earlier this spring. “That man, yeah. He’s a good man. He’s a consistent individual. When I say consistent, I mean every-day consistent. Even if he doesn’t call me, he’ll send me a little text or check up on my mom. He literally went to Kirby Smart and said, ‘I want him.’ And Kirby Smart pulled me in the office to talk about it. It’s just Georgia.”. Below is the 247Sports Scouting Report for Kromah from August:. “Thrashing running back with downhill tendencies that plays with plenty of urgency. Extends runs with dynamic jump cuts and impressive contact balance as he can juke around or power through tacklers.
Brings true three-down capabilities to the tables as he’s effective in pass pro and has displayed the ability to create separation, entering his senior season with 53 catches and 730 receiving yards to his credit. Hits the hole with confidence and tends to always be falling forward. Might not win every footrace on Saturdays, but has a knack for producing some highlight reel-worthy runs as he holsters a nasty stiff arm and a defender-clearing hurdle. Added some good mass to a frame that stretches just over 6 feet following junior year and should eventually be able to carry 220 pounds or more. Overall, projects as a well-rounded running back that can carry the workload for a College Football Playoff contender and do some of the dirty work. Explosive lower half likely to eventually be attractive to Sunday evaluators as he’s thrown down some alley-oop dunks on the hardwood.”.
