REPORT: Ron Washington confirms major decision after signing $64 Million outfielder

To the astonishment of many, the Los Angeles Angels are considering making a purchase this winter. After losing franchise star Shohei Ohtani last winter, the Angels have chosen to hang onto some tradeable players and make free agent acquisitions rather than embarking on a complete rebuild. Starting pitcher Yusei Kikuchi and the Angels reached an agreement earlier this winter on a three-year, $63,675,000 contract that would bring the southpaw to Los Angeles. According to a recent New York Post article by Jon Heyman, Kikuchi’s contract isn’t a clear-cut agreement. Heyman estimates that in 2025, 2026, and 2027, Kikuchi will make $21 million a season. However, there is more money and much more to his contract when you look at its specifics.
