Texas A&M secured a significant commitment over the weekend from Caleb Tafua, a four-star tight end in the Class of 2026.

The 6-foot-4, 215-pound prospect from Lakewood, California, chose the Aggies over other strong programs, including Cal, USC, and Washington. Tafua visited College Station on November 30 and officially announced his decision to join Mike Elko’s program on Saturday.

“It felt like that was where I needed to be,” Tafua shared with On3. “The energy around me was incredible. I can picture myself in those stadiums, playing for A&M.”

According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Tafua is the No. 12 tight end nationally and the No. 27 overall prospect in California. His commitment adds further depth and promise to the Aggies’ future roster.
