BREAKING: 5-Star OT Confirms Commitment To Texas A&M Aggies over Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia and LSU
The Texas A&M Aggies are making significant strides in recruiting for the 2026 class, currently holding the No. 4 spot in the rankings, trailing only Oregon, USC, and Tennessee. Their class already boasts seven four-star recruits, including four ranked in the top 150 by the On3 Industry Ranking.
Now, the Aggies are positioning themselves for a major addition with five-star offensive tackle Immanuel Iheanacho from Georgetown Preparatory School (Baltimore, MD). Iheanacho, one of the top players in the 2026 class, has scheduled a visit to College Station on January 11.
“I will be at Texas A&M on Jan. 11,” Iheanacho told On3. “I’ve wanted to get to College Station for some time, so I’m looking forward to it. It’s a good school, a good program, and they’ve been recruiting me hard. I want to get out there.” He also mentioned potential January visits to Oklahoma and Tennessee but noted those dates are not yet finalized.
Earlier this year, Iheanacho included Texas A&M among his top-16 finalists, along with Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Maryland, Miami, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon, Penn State, Rutgers, Tennessee, USC, and Virginia Tech. He plans to visit several of these programs in the coming months and aims to narrow his list of contenders by at least half by the summer.
Currently ranked as the No. 2 overall player in the nation and the No. 2 offensive tackle behind Nixa (MO) five-star Jackson Cantwell, Iheanacho is a consensus five-star prospect. His recruitment represents a significant opportunity for Texas A&M to further solidify its elite 2026 class.
