Tristen Keys is keen on learning more about Alabama football after receiving an offer from the Crimson Tide.

A five-star wide receiver prospect in the 2026 class, Keys hails from Hattiesburg, Mississippi. The Crimson Tide extended their offer in September, sparking the talented receiver’s interest.

Alabama’s wide receiver coach, JaMarcus Shephard, has positioned the program to potentially make a strong push for Keys in the future.

“I had a lot of great talks with him,” Keys shared with Touchdown Alabama. “He came to visit me at my school. That’s my guy—very energetic, and that’s what I look for in a receiver coach. Someone I can hang out with every day, have fun with, and then be serious when it’s time.”

Keys plans to visit Alabama around January after previously postponing a trip to Tuscaloosa for the 2024 Georgia game.

During the 2024 season, Alabama relied on several freshmen, including breakout wide receiver Ryan Williams, a detail Keys highlighted while speaking at the Under Armour All-America Game Media Day.

“I like that they played a lot of freshmen this year,” Keys said. “Those freshmen contributed to the team. Things didn’t go their way this year, but that’s football—a new coaching staff. I still think they did pretty good and worked hard.”

Alabama’s history of developing elite wide receivers is another factor drawing Keys’ attention.

“They’ve produced a lot of great receivers. There are a lot of WRUs, but I feel like Alabama is one of them. They’ve had plenty of first-round receivers.”

At 6-foot-3 and 185 pounds, Keys is an explosive playmaker with a quick release off the line of scrimmage and deceptive route-running skills that allow him to create separation.
