BREAKING: Florida State Seminoles Aiming to Flip 4-Star CB During Official Visit
Carrollton (Ga.) senior cornerback Antonio Cromartie Jr. received a scholarship offer from Florida State on Christmas Day. He has now scheduled an official visit with the Seminoles.
“I’ve got a date. I’m visiting this weekend, the 10th to the 12th,” Cromartie Jr. told Noles247 on Wednesday.
In addition to FSU, Cromartie Jr. holds offers from Southeast Missouri State, UT Martin, and Wofford. Reflecting on the FSU offer, he shared his thoughts on the moment it arrived.
“I was hoping for this one. I waited all year for it. That’s the main reason I chose not to sign early,” Cromartie said about the FSU offer. “With the offers I have, this is the one I’ve been waiting on. For it to come on Christmas, it was a blessing.”
Cromartie Jr. and his family were thrilled by the offer, a dream he has held since childhood.
“Pure excitement. FSU has always been my dream school since I was five years old. Getting that offer meant so much to me and my family,” he added.
Currently, the only prediction in the 247Sports Crystal Ball points to FSU as his likely destination.
Cromartie Jr. is the son of former FSU and NFL cornerback Antonio Cromartie, who played for the Seminoles from 2003 to 2005 before being drafted in the first round of the 2006 NFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers.
At this time, Cromartie Jr. remains unranked by 247Sports or the 247Sports Composite Recruiting Rankings.
