UAB Lands Commitment from 4-Star RB
A former high school star from Alabama is going back to his own state.
Jevon Jackson, a native of Decatur and a graduate of Austin High, returned to Alabama for his final year of eligibility on Tuesday, announcing his commitment to play for UAB.
Jackson was the top rusher for the Miners in 2024, rushing the ball 191 times for 754 yards and four touchdowns.
He played for FCS Austin Peay for three seasons before to moving to El Paso, and then he followed coach Scotty Walden to UTEP. He earned a spot on the first team of the United Athletic Conference in 2023 after running for 1,373 yards and 10 touchdowns.
