On Tuesday, it was revealed that, a safety from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), would join Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs.
Adrian Maddox, a safety from UAB, has announced his transfer to the Georgia Bulldogs, joining Kirby Smart’s program. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound redshirt sophomore from Conyers, Ga., began his college career at Alabama State before transferring to UAB, where he played in 11 games last season. Maddox recorded 44 tackles, two tackles for loss, and one interception during his time with the Blazers.
Though unranked out of high school, Maddox is now regarded as a three-star transfer prospect. His commitment to Georgia marks the second defensive back addition for the Bulldogs today, following Jaden Harris’ commitment from Miami. Additionally, Georgia recently secured safety Zion Branch and his brother, wide receiver Zachariah Branch, both from USC.
