Massive Boost: Washington Huskies Strike Again, Another Top Talented Player Transfer To UW
On Tuesday afternoon, four-star linebacker Kenneth Goodwin, a 2026 recruit from Narbonne High School in Southern California, narrowed his list of 23 offers to 12, with Jedd Fisch and the Washington Huskies making the cut.
Standing at 6-foot-1 and 205 pounds, Goodwin is ranked No. 191 nationally and the No. 15 linebacker in the 2026 class, according to the 247Sports Composite. His list of contenders also includes Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, Oregon, and Texas.
On the field, he aligns well with what linebackers coach Robert Bala is seeking.
“Size-wise, he’s a hybrid between safety and linebacker with significant positional versatility,” 247Sports analyst Greg Biggins said in his evaluation. “He makes plays all over the field, can play inside or outside, is physical in run support, and delivers strong hits. As a pass rusher, he’s quick off the edge, and in coverage, he’s comfortable in space and can track down plays from behind. He’s also a smart player with a strong football IQ, reacting quickly and always being around the ball.”
Bala has already landed one commitment for the 2026 class, securing three-star in-state linebacker Wassie Lugolobi in November. After bringing in three linebackers in the 2025 cycle, he will likely target at least one or two more for the 2026 class.
