With WNBA free agency in full swing, the Indiana Fever continue to bolster their 2025 roster with experienced players, signing two-time WNBA champion point guard Sydney Colson to a one-year deal on Tuesday.

Colson arrives in Indiana after three seasons as a reserve with the Las Vegas Aces, where she contributed to back-to-back championships. Over that span, she appeared in 77 games, averaging 6.5 minutes per contest.

Originally selected 16th overall by the Connecticut Sun in the 2011 WNBA Draft out of Texas A&M, Colson was traded to the New York Liberty on draft night. Throughout her 10-year career, she has played for the San Antonio Stars (now the Aces), Minnesota Lynx, and Chicago Sky, averaging 2.8 points per game while shooting 40.5% from the field, 32.5% from three, and 78.5% from the free-throw line.

Her impressive resume includes an NCAA championship with Texas A&M in 2011 and WNBA titles with the Aces in 2022 and 2023.

Known for her leadership and energy, Colson is expected to bring a strong locker room presence while serving as a backup to Caitlin Clark. The Fever hope her experience, along with other veteran additions, will help guide their young core toward sustained championship success.
