Buffalo Bills named top trade destination for former All-Pro receiver
Once again, the Buffalo Bills came up short in their pursuit of a Super Bowl title. While they share that fate with 31 other teams, they believe they are closer than most to lifting the Lombardi Trophy.
That said, general manager Brandon Beane is expected to be proactive in improving the roster on both sides of the ball. One potential move could involve adding another high-profile receiver to give Josh Allen more firepower in the passing game.
Buffalo Bills mentioned as top trade fit for Deebo Samuel
After trading Stefon Diggs last offseason, the Buffalo Bills could use their freed-up cap space to pursue another former All-Pro receiver.

One notable name already on the trade block is San Francisco 49ers Pro Bowl receiver Deebo Samuel. With the 49ers looking to shed salary, Samuel’s $15.8 million cap hit makes him a potential cap casualty.
“Josh Allen isn’t surrounded by many offensive playmakers, but Samuel is a terrific fit because he can help as a receiver and rusher. Opposing defences cannot rely solely on man coverage against Buffalo. If defenders run with their backs turned, Allen has plenty of room to go. Samuel performs best against zone coverages, which is a strong fit for the Bills’ offensive scheme. Khalil Shakir, a slot receiver, caught 76 catches for 821 yards last season. Mack Hollins, their next-best wide receiver, had 31 receptions for 378 yards and five touchdowns.
Despite not reaching 1,000 receiving yards since 2021, Samuel remains a versatile weapon. He totaled 670 receiving yards and added 136 rushing yards last season, making him an intriguing option as a complementary piece in Buffalo’s offense.
