BREAKING: Toronto Argonauts sign former Riders DL
The Toronto Argonauts have signed defensive end., formerly of the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
The 30-year-old pass rusher appeared in 17 games for the Riders in 2024, recording 24 defensive tackles, six sacks, and two forced fumbles. He initially joined the team before the 2023 season, tallying 11 tackles, two sacks, and one forced fumble in eight games.
Standing 6-foot-3 and weighing 270 pounds, Cox signed with the Carolina Panthers as an undrafted free agent in 2017. He spent two seasons with the team before playing for the Cleveland Browns, Buffalo Bills, and Indianapolis Colts. Across 26 career NFL games, the St. Louis, Mo., native totaled 31 tackles, five tackles for loss, one sack, and one fumble recovery.

Cox played five seasons at the University of Florida (2012-16), where he amassed 98 tackles, 21 tackles for loss, 10 sacks, one pass deflection, three forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries in 45 games for the Gators. He is the son of former NFL Pro Bowl linebacker Bryan Cox Sr.
